Our childcare and Kindergarten centre follows the guidelines of The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia where we aim to extend and enrich children’s learning in the early childhood years through play-based learning. We feel that children are connected to their families and communities and feel that their learning is vital through these relationships; therefore, we extend this form of learning and nurturing through our everyday activities and also by encouraging families to participate in our programs with their children. We strongly view children as active participants of the daycare giving them the opportunity to extend on their interests and learning through the play-based activities provided.
We also offer a School Readiness Program supported by a Bachelor Qualified Teacher to ensure each child is confident and ready for their first day of school.
At Creative Garden Early Learning Kellyville Ridge our environment is welcoming, flexible and supports learning reflecting the lives and personalities of the children and families who participate in our programs. As the name of the centre suggests, play provides children the opportunity to learn and discover through the play-based activities alongside their peers.
We welcome you to visit us at the centre, meet our friendly staff and learn more about our curriculum and facilities.
Our centre proudly offers a kindergarten/preschool program to ensure your child is supported for their transition to school every step of the way. With a focus on language, literacy, numeracy, social skills and more your child will become school ready.
Meet our Centre Manager – Tarnya Moloney
I began my career in early childhood education in 2011, and I started at Creative Garden Early Learning Centre Kellyville Ridge in 2021. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
I am passionate about Early Education as I believe this is the foundation to supporting children that active and confident participants in society. I am inspired to advocate for children’s rights and empower them, developing a curriculum to provide access to high-quality education programs intentionally exposing children to their rights.
In my early education career, I have learnt that every child is capable. And our role as educators is to embrace the child as an individual and support their sense of belonging to develop confidence in future learners.
I am passionate about helping children on their learning and life journey. Sharing knowledge and collaborating with children provides opportunities to plan and age-appropriate curriculums to support children in feeling secure in expressing their own identity and culture.
Attending a dedicated early childhood centre provides an opportunity to form partnerships between early childhood teachers and families; this is the foundation for a well-adjusted child and quality education. An early childhood education and care centre is a collaborative learning environment. It enables teachers and families to analyse and reflect on teaching practices to build the foundation to support children in feeling secure in expressing their own identity and culture.
My team are role models and mentors, encouraging further exploration and guiding children through collaboration and shared learning experiences to support children’s development. My team are professionals who understand the vital role documentation plays in providing children and teachers with the opportunity to reflect and evaluate learning and development.
The team implement strategies to acknowledge and respect families language, culture and religion. These include literature filled environment with keywords represented in home languages, inviting families to read stories in their mother language, researching and collaborating with families to design and implement cultural celebrations in the service, orientation days for continuity of care and smooth transitions. A collaborative learning environment enables teachers and families to analyse and reflect on teaching practices to build the foundation to support children in feeling secure in expressing their own identity and culture.
