Creative Garden Mount Annan OSHC provides an environment with experiences which enable children to grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially through a balance of structured play, exploration, learning and group participation.

Our service caters for children from 5 years to 12 years of age. For your convenience both breakfast and afternoon tea are provided to help ensure every child’s daily transition to and from school runs smoothly.  

At Creative Garden Mount Annan OSHC we believe individual children acquire values and attitudes towards themselves, their friends, families and society predominantly in their early years which influences them into adulthood. Our centre aims to provide a healthy, safe, caring, loving and secure environment necessary for the development of positive relationships in which all are listened to and respected.

We additionally offer Vacation care during school holidays with a schedule full of stimulating and fun activities, including excursions to many exciting locations!

How long have you been working in childcare?

5years, Started as a trainee completing my Cert 3 then I completed a diploma. I have also been a Nanny!

What is your favourite part of working at the centre?  

Having the opportunity to impact of children lives daily and watching them grow.

What is your favourite inspirational quote?

What inspired you to become an educator?

I have passion for children and young people, I believe in the younger years of life we set paths of which direction we are going to walk. This is inspired by our circumstances, people around us and what we know. I enjoy being able to have an impact on each child’s journeys. I want to prompt the growth of personality, education, skill to build on and extend from throughout life’s journey.

What is your philosophy about educating children?

Every child is unique and I believe everybody’s differences should be recognised and celebrated. It is important to be different and it is important children know this, there should be no cookie cutter approach to life and I believe children need to learn this. I wish to teach children to have a positive outlook on life, as this will assist throughout all of lives twist and turns.

What message would you like to tell parents considering your centre?

I want families and children to feel invited, safe in a happy home-like environment. I want to work with families and the wider community to build partnerships and relationship to contribute their child’s learning and leisure.  My team of educators are qualified and dedicated to providing a quality service and experience that coincides with the National Quality Standards.

Our service is not sectioned by ages in each room; the children are able to interact with each other without restriction of locations.
